Dr. Leah Connerty, PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN

I grew up in Boxford MA, a woodsy town north of Boston. I attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges in upstate New York where I majored in Biology and minored in Health Professions. I also played D3 soccer and was part of 2013 NCAA National Championship team. I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark my junior year and when I returned for my senior year I began working at Ravines Winery.

During my clinical affiliations, I learned my affinity for treating the outpatient pelvic floor population. My first job after graduation was at an outpatient pain clinic in Denver, Colorado, where I had a detailed look into the care of patients with chronic pain. A couple of years ago I moved to New Jersey where I began my career here at Body Moksha PT where I have continued to specialize in pelvic health, especially with the postpartum populous. Additionally, having been a competitive athlete myself, I understand the unique demands that our population of athletes have and what they need from physical therapy to be able to fulfill their commitment to their sport.

"I am a full-time outpatient physical therapist at Body Moksha. I have my postpartum corrective exercise specialist certification and specialize in women’s pelvic health.

I like having a full hour to work one-on-one with my patients, the cozy atmosphere of the clinic, and the energy of my team.

When not working I enjoy cooking new recipes, going to yoga or on walks in Loantaka, watching TV shows and movies with my boyfriend Steve, getting facetime calls from my nephews in MA, and spending quality time with friends and family."

Dr. Amanda Ossig, PT, DPT

I was born and raised in Ramsey, NJ, and traveled down to South Carolina to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science at The University of South Carolina. After this, I returned back to the Northeast to complete my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Rutgers Newark. Throughout my undergrad and graduate schooling, I have had the pleasure of working with diverse populations, including post-stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputees, neurological conditions, and many orthopedic conditions. I also spent time working as a fitness instructor in group and 1-on-1 settings. As I began my career in physical therapy, I treated mainly orthopedic and post-surgical patients, however, I found my true passion is treating pelvic health conditions!

Worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic for two years doing orthopedic and pelvic floor. Took continuing education courses in pelvic floor.

At Body Moksha, I am one of the licensed physical therapists.

I love helping patients get back to the things they love and surpass their prior level of function while improving their overall quality of life!

I love the ability to work one-on-one with a patient for the entire session and not have to divide my focus between 3-6 patients at a time.

I love being a dog mom to my dog Maverick, baking, exercising, spending time with friends and family, and doing all things make-up!

Dr. Rebecca Biland, PT, DPT, DN

Dr. Rebecca Biland completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and then enrolled in the University of Delaware where she completed their Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program in 2010. She started her career treating sports injuries and orthopedic conditions in outpatient clinics at JFK Medical Center and at Atlantic Health Sports Physical Therapy. While working with these populations, she became increasingly aware of an underserved pelvic pain patient population and was compelled to pursue continuing education in pelvic floor rehabilitation.

In 2012, she developed and launched a Pelvic Physical Therapy program at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ, expanding the scope of their outpatient services for men and women. A year later she had her first daughter and through personal experience with pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum recovery her commitment and passion to advocate for women’s health grew. Rebecca’s mission is to empower women’s ability to grow their knowledge and to restore their wellness by seeking treatment for pervasive and undertreated conditions such as pelvic pain, incontinence and other postpartum issues.

Rebecca is certified in Dry Needling and specializes in treating with men and women experiencing complex pelvic pain as well as postpartum mothers

I specialize in pelvic health for men and women. I love helping people with complex pelvic pain regain control over their lives. I have a special place in my heart for postpartum women and perimenopausal and menopausal women.

The 1 on 1 care for a hour means I always get to spend time really getting to work with my patients and develop a program that meets their individual needs.

When I’m not working I am usually on a softball field. I have two daughters who keep me super active in their world of sports. I love gardening, reading, snuggling with our 3 cats and spending time with friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy?

Pelvic Floor PT is a specialized type of physical therapy that addresses muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues in the pelvis. We use evidence-based techniques—including gentle exercises, hands-on treatment, and behavioral strategies—to help you regain control, reduce pain, and eliminate common issues like leaking, pressure, and painful intercourse. It's a non-surgical, effective path to restore your core and pelvic function.

What actually happens during a pelvic health assessment?

Your comfort is our priority. The assessment starts with a confidential conversation about your history and goals. Your therapist will perform a thorough movement screen and may perform gentle external and (with your explicit consent) an internal muscular exam to find the source of your pain or leaking. You are in control the entire time.

How quickly will I see results?

We focus on getting you better, faster. Because we provide dedicated, one-on-one time, most clients report noticeable improvements—like reduced leaking or less pain—within 3 to 4 weeks of consistently following their personalized plan.

Is it too late to get help if I had my baby years ago?

Absolutely not! Pelvic floor issues can be successfully treated regardless of how long you've had them. Whether your symptoms began 6 months or 10 years ago, physical therapy is highly effective at restoring strength and function.

What makes this assessment different from a regular doctor visit?

This is a comprehensive, 1-on-1 session focused entirely on your pelvic health. Unlike quick doctor visits, your Physical Therapist dedicates significant time to finding the root cause of your symptoms and creating a precise, multi-faceted plan tailored to your body and lifestyle.
