Who's running the workshop?

Meet The doctor & physical therapist

Dr. Anakaren Lopez, PT, DPT

Anakaren Lopez started her academic career at The University of Louisiana at Monroe where she completed her Bachelor of Science with focus in Kinesiology while also competing as a cross country and track and field athlete. She then went to New York University (NYU) where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her time at NYU she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) which allowed her to teach group classes and private clients. Following her graduation, she worked full time in the outpatient orthopedic clinic setting. In conjunction to working full time she managed to complete her Orthopedic Residency, and successfully became a distinguished Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. She has taken numerous post doctoral coursework in relation to women’s health, manual therapy, post-operative care, pediatrics and sports rehab. She is passionate about empowering her patients to live life to their fullest and finds the best plan of care to get her patients to achieve their goals. She particularly likes working with pre and post partum individuals, tri-athletes, and marathon runners where she integrates a Pilates approach.

During her free time, you can find Anakaren enjoying time with her family, in the great outdoors or practicing Pilates/Yoga
